Less than one hours drive from Invercargill is a highly productive sheep and beef farm, nestled in the folds of the lower Catlins. Over the last 12 years, this farm has been transformed into the desirable farm it is today. The new five stand woolshed and the huge covered yards provide an excellent work place. Two generous sheds for hay and feed needs and storage for all your farming equipment. Regrassing and fertiliser produce fattening pastures, lambs, beef and additional store stock. The winter micro climate prevents frosts and keeps grass growing year round, especially in the sandhills. Water ways have been fenced and riparian planted and wetland areas have been developed in accordance with the Environment Southlands farm plan. Added to all this is the potential for tourism. A homestay facility has been successful in the past, and further expansion into accommodation, ecotourism or adventure tourism is ripe for the picking.
